What is an eSIM?

A SIM built into your phone. Instead of swapping plastic, you download a travel data plan in a couple of minutes. Your normal SIM stays in place.

When should I install it?

Before you leave, on Wi-Fi. You can install up to 180 days ahead, and your plan's days only start counting when it first connects at your destination.

Will I keep my WhatsApp number?

Yes. WhatsApp and iMessage stay on your usual number and run over kimsim data. kimsim plans are data only: there's no kimsim phone number. Your home SIM can still take normal calls and texts, at your home carrier's roaming rates.

What does “unlimited” mean?

Unlimited plans give you a daily allowance at full speed. After that you stay connected at 1 Mbps until the next day. Day Pass plans work the same way but slow to 384 Kbps or 512 Kbps; each plan shows its speed before you pay.

Can I top up?

Yes, from My eSIMs. Data lands on the eSIM you already have. No new QR code.
