Android hides the eSIM menu in a slightly different place on every brand. Got a Samsung or a Pixel? Use the step-by-step Samsung guide or Pixel guide. For everything else, here's where to look.
Scan the QR code
- Open the QR code on another screen (laptop, tablet, a friend's phone). It's on the install screen, in the "Your eSIM is ready" email and in My eSIMs.
- On your phone:
- Pixel and most Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM (or "Download a SIM instead?").
- Samsung Galaxy: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM → Scan QR code.
- Scan it and confirm. Give the new line a name like kimsim.
No second screen?
Choose Enter code manually (or "Enter activation code") and paste the activation code from My eSIMs. Some phones ask for the SM-DP+ address and the code separately. Both are in My eSIMs, with copy buttons.
When you land
Turn on roaming for the kimsim line:
- Pixel / Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → kimsim → Roaming
- Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Data roaming
Then pick kimsim as your mobile data SIM. Step by step.
Stuck? Don't delete it. Restart your phone first.
