The QR code is on the phone I'm installing on

A phone can't scan a QR code that's on its own screen. You've got three ways round it.

1. iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later: one tap

Open the install screen, the "Your eSIM is ready" email or My eSIMs on the iPhone, and tap Install on iPhone. No QR code needed. Full steps.

2. Type the codes in by hand (any phone)

1. In My eSIMs, open your eSIM → Install steps (or Install & codes).
2. Copy the SM-DP+ address and the activation code. They have copy buttons.
3. On the phone, start adding an eSIM and choose the manual option:
   • iPhone: Use QR Code → Enter Details Manually.
   • Samsung: Add eSIM → enter the code instead of scanning. Steps
   • Pixel: look for Need help? or Enter it manually. Steps
4. Paste the codes and confirm.

3. Use another screen

Open the QR code on a laptop, a tablet or a friend's phone and scan that.

Stuck? Don't delete it. Restart your phone first.
