Your plan's days start when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy it and not when you install it.
So install it at home, on Wi-Fi, whenever suits you. You can install it any time up to 180 days before your trip.
Good to know
- Your plan length (7 days, 30 days and so on) counts from that first connection.
- "Unlimited" and Day Pass plans reset their daily allowance each day. What they mean.
- You can see the days left in My eSIMs once it's running.
- Some eSIMs can find a network before you land (for example on a stop-over in a country it covers). To be safe, leave the kimsim line switched off until you arrive.
